Drake has responded to criticism regarding his new album Honestly, Nevermind.
The rapper celebrated his seventh studio album on Friday with a release party, Fox News reports.
During his exit speech, Drake responded to criticism of the new album.
“It’s fine if you don’t get it yet,” he said. ” This is what we do ! We are waiting for you to catch up.
With the Calling My Name album track playing in the background, Drake continued, “We’re here, though, we’ve already made up for it. Let’s move on. My God!”
The Guardian gave the album three stars in a review, calling it “dull”, “spectacularly boring” and “cliché”.
Although Drake embraced a different genre of music with house and EDM at the forefront in Honestly, Nevermind, an Esquire review published Friday called it “typical,” saying, “The tone of the album follows the usual toxic, passive aggressive, sad boy hours theme around which Drake has built his image.”
