New poll finds most Americans believe Biden administration intentionally lets gas prices rise
For any politician, the only thing worse than economic pain for the people is that people believe the pain is intentionally inflicted.
And when it comes to gas prices, that’s exactly where the Biden administration is right now.
A new poll has found that most people believe the Biden team is intentionally letting gas prices rise in order to get the country off fossil fuels.

Poll: Most believe Biden administration is allowing gas prices to rise to drive Americans away from fossil fuels
Most voters believe the Biden administration is allowing gas prices to rise to force Americans to use less fossil fuels, according to a Convention of States Action/Trafalgar Group survey released Friday.
The survey asked, “Do you think the Biden administration intentionally lets gas prices go up to get Americans to use less fossil fuels?”
Most, 53%, said “yes,” they believe the Biden administration is deliberately allowing this to happen to force Americans to use less fossil fuels. However, 39.6% do not think this is the case and 7.4% are unsure.
Opinions are divided along party lines. More than three-quarters of Republicans, 77.3% and 56.5% of independents believe the Biden administration deliberately allows gas prices to rise for these purposes. Most Democrats, 68.7%, disagree and don’t believe the administration does.
The survey was conducted May 25-29, 2022 among 1,091 likely general election voters and has a margin of error of +/- 2.9%. It comes as gasoline prices hit a new high on Friday, rising to $4.986 overnight, according to AAA. This reflects a rise of 22 cents last week and a rise of 61 cents last month.
Maybe the reason people believe this is because members of the Biden administration keep saying it and saying it.
