Moment of the night: Liv Morgan takes advantage of Ronda Rousey

Liv Morgan’s first title win was long overdue.

For years, she’s had the support of fans, fellow superstars and people behind the scenes – but championship gold has always hinted at her.

Going into the show, I thought Liv had a slim chance of winning the contract, but if you told me she’d end the night taking the title from Rousey, I would’ve said I’d need to. seeing is believing.

That’s what made it one of WWE TV’s most pleasant surprises in years. Especially since Ronda was so cordial afterwards.

Hopefully this isn’t the end of Rousey’s second run in WWE. There’s still plenty she could do on SmackDown leading up to WrestleMania season.

If this is the last we’ve seen of her in a while, Ronda should be commended for how she’s helped the division over the past few months.

For now, however, it’s time for Liv to shine.

Best Match: The Usos vs. The Street Profits

When two teams click, they can do magic together in the ring.

That’s exactly what happened in this game.

Fans really had no idea who would emerge victorious, allowing for biting moments and believable/exciting drops. Either team could have won and it would have seemed appropriate.

Also, with the ref not seeing Montez’s shoulder being lifted during the fall, I guess they’ll bring her back to SummerSlam.

Additional Highlights:

WWE aired a cryptic vignette during the show.

If I had to guess it could be for a comeback Edgebecause they showed clothes worn by people he had argued with in the past (like Eddie Guerrero, Angle Kurtthe Hardy Boyz and the Dudleys).
